The first TIR international road transportation route to Azerbaijan has been opened in the SCO demonstration zone
On March 13th, under the on-site supervision of Jiaozhou Customs under Qingdao Customs, seven heavy trucks with TIR license signs drove out of the TIR International Road Transport Assembly Center in the SCO Demonstration Zone, marking the official opening of the first TIR international road transport route from the SCO Demonstration Zone to Azerbaijan, and the fifth TIR international road transport route opened in the SCO Demonstration Zone.
The first fleet is planned to leave the country from Khorgos port, pass Kazakhstan and Russia, and arrive in Azerbaijan by land. This batch of goods mainly includes equipment such as composite line extruders, composite line cooling boxes, and composite line hot laminating machines, with a total weight of nearly 120 tons.
The goods do not need to be reloaded or swapped during the entire transportation process, avoiding the risk of damage caused by multiple loading and unloading, especially suitable for high-value production line equipment, "said Dou Kun, General Manager of Qingdao Runshengchi Logistics Co., Ltd. At the same time, the overall transportation efficiency has been significantly improved, and it is expected to be shortened by 15 days compared to the traditional plan.
As a global customs clearance system for goods transportation based on the United Nations Convention on International Road Transport, the core advantage of the TIR system lies in the international mutual recognition clearance mode of "one declaration, one guarantee, and one direct train".
Since the beginning of this year, the SCO Demonstration Zone has shipped a total of 60 TIR international road transport vehicles with a total weight of 885 tons of goods, ranking among the top in terms of train numbers and transportation volume in the country.
