Jiugang achieves the delivery of high-end wind power steel in a "whole tower" configuration
Faced with an "extreme" order of 49 specifications, 3 process systems, and only 1 steel plate per specification, recently, Jiugang Hongxing Hongbo New Materials Company completed the "whole tower" batch delivery of high-end wind power steel with a 14 day performance period. This move not only solves the urgent needs of customers, but also creates the shortest delivery record for multi specification production of this variety of steel, demonstrating Jiugang's hardcore delivery strength in the field of high-end wind power materials.
This batch of steel plates is specifically designed for high-performance wind turbine towers and will serve key clean energy projects in China. As a key component supporting the operation of wind turbines at a height of 100 meters, wind turbine towers have long been subjected to the dual tests of alternating loads and complex climates, with extremely demanding requirements for steel strength, toughness, low-temperature impact energy, welding performance, and corrosion resistance.
Faced with the challenges of high production organization difficulty and urgent delivery time, Hongbo New Materials Company quickly activated its emergency response mechanism, taking "serving national strategies and promoting regional development" as its responsibility, anchoring the core goals of "performance standards, complete specifications, and cycle locking", and tailoring a "segmented and stepped" production control plan to refine and control the production processes and key technical parameters of tower tubes of different specifications. During the production process, multiple departments such as sales and technology were seamlessly integrated, overcoming challenges such as complex processes and high precision requirements. Ultimately, one day ahead of the 15 day delivery deadline, the full specifications and performance were achieved, and the full quantity was shipped on schedule.
It is understood that the thickness and strength requirements of steel plates for wind turbine towers vary step by step from bottom to top, and usually need to be purchased and processed in batches. The one-time supply of "whole tower" poses a great challenge to the flexible manufacturing and full process quality control of steel enterprises. Completing such complex specification matching generally requires a cycle of over 30 days in the industry. Jiugang's reduction of the cycle to 14 days this time is a significant improvement in the efficiency of wind power project infrastructure.
In recent years, Jiuquan Iron and Steel has continued to deepen its cultivation in the field of new energy steel, contributing to the sustainable development of the new energy industry. In terms of wind power steel research and development, we have successfully developed products such as Q390FTD and Q420FTE, and have the capability for mass production. The key indicators such as mechanical properties and low-temperature impact energy of the product have met the national standard requirements, filling the gap in the regional market and successfully entering the supply chain of mainstream wind power equipment enterprises in China.
Looking towards the future, Jiuquan Iron and Steel will anchor its vision of being a "world-class green new material enterprise", continuously deepen strategic cooperation with leading wind power enterprises, continuously improve customized service capabilities, and contribute to the transformation of the national energy structure and the high-quality development of the regional economy.
