Hangzhou Customs issued 126000 certificates of origin for free trade agreements in January

The certificate of origin is the proof that exported products enjoy preferential tariff treatment abroad, known as the "paper gold". At the beginning of 2026, the continuous deepening of free trade agreements such as RCEP and the accelerated release of tariff reduction dividends have brought tangible policy benefits for Zhejiang enterprises to explore international markets in the new year. In January, Hangzhou Customs issued 126000 certificates of origin for various free trade agreements, with a total value of 30.61 billion yuan, an increase of 3.4% and 1.9% respectively year-on-year, helping enterprises enjoy import tariff reductions of over 1.5 billion yuan.
Zhejiang Hongsheng Chemical Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise that provides chemical intermediates for downstream industries such as dyes, tires, and pesticides. With the help of tax incentives from free trade agreements such as China ASEAN and RCEP, the company's market share in Southeast Asia and other regions continues to increase. In January, we have obtained preferential certificates of origin for over 32 million yuan worth of exported goods, and the zero tariff price advantage has increased the competitiveness of our products in the local market. In January, our export volume to the RCEP market alone increased by about 15%. ”Peng Yongqing, the head of the company's supply chain management department, stated.
With the continuous expansion of China's free trade "circle of friends", more and more enterprises are taking advantage of the tax reduction advantages brought by free trade agreements to explore new market growth points for trade. Zhejiang Yate Electric Appliance Co., Ltd., located in Jiaxing, is an enterprise engaged in the research and development, design, and production of garden tools, electric tools, and intelligent products. In January of this year, the company applied for the China Ecuador Free Trade Agreement Certificate of Origin for its lithium-ion battery packs and other products for the first time. It is expected that this batch of goods can enjoy a tariff reduction of about 99000 yuan in the importing country. The successful delivery of this batch of orders is an important achievement of the company's successful start to foreign trade in 2026, and the first year of cooperation with this customer is expected to reach 10 million yuan, "said Wei Liebin, the manager of the company's export department.
Next, Hangzhou Customs will rely on the "Red Boat Enterprise Navigation" service platform to assist enterprises, and focus on the actual needs of foreign trade enterprises in the jurisdiction to carry out targeted promotion and precise assistance of free trade agreement policies. We will continue to promote the application of the "China Customs Preferential Origin Service Platform" to meet the personalized query needs of enterprises regarding agreement tax rates, origin rules, origin policies and regulations. At the same time, we will continue to expand the "e-printing" of certificates of origin into banks and communities, and implement convenient measures such as online declaration and intelligent verification, allowing foreign trade enterprises to enjoy benefits nearby and conveniently, injecting sustained momentum into the development of foreign trade economy in our jurisdiction.
