It is reported that since last year, China's relations with European countries have gradually warmed up. The total trade volume between the two sides has exceeded 1 trillion US dollars, with over 2 million European tourists coming to China visa free. European leaders are visiting one after another, and the exchanges between China and Europe are becoming increasingly close. The two sides have also reached a number of new cooperation agreements. It has been proven that the stability of China Europe relations stems from common interests, and certainty comes from mutual benefit and win-win outcomes, "said Wang Yi.
He further stated that China's position on developing China Europe relations is clear. We always believe that Europe is the natural pole in the multipolar pattern, an important force to maintain the stability of the international order, and a key partner to achieve Chinese path to modernization. To ensure the stability and success of China Europe relations, the key is for Europe to establish a correct understanding of China. We have noticed that more and more European intellectuals recognize that China is not a competitor but a global partner, especially the younger generation who view China more objectively and positively.
Wang Yi believes that the essence of China Europe economic and trade relations is complementary advantages, which can be dynamically balanced in the development process. The fact of China Europe cooperation shows that interdependence is not a risk, the integration of interests is not a threat, open cooperation will not harm economic security, and building walls and barriers can only isolate oneself.
