Ningbo Customs applies machine inspection equipment to the intelligent ETC project for on-site inspection
　　
On March 6th, in the Chuanshan Port area of Zhoushan Port in Ningbo, a batch of car shock absorbers worth over 2 million yuan were undergoing machine inspection through the Ningbo Customs' "Customs Intelligent Audit ETC" system. From scanning imaging, intelligent image review to smooth release, the entire process only took 4 minutes, with the intelligent image review taking only 12 seconds, marking the efficient operation of Ningbo Customs' pioneering "Customs Intelligent ETC" mode. The core goal of this model is to achieve high efficiency, high quality, precise targeting, and intensive management. Through the deep integration of "artificial intelligence+customs supervision", the machine inspection time for single cargo can be reduced by up to 90%, injecting strong momentum into the export of local key industries.
Ningbo has a strong foundation in the parts industry, with about 5000 automotive parts enterprises gathered throughout the city. It has 22 national level manufacturing industry champions and 97 national level specialized, refined, and new "little giant" enterprises, building an efficient and collaborative local supply chain network.
However, in the process of exporting automotive parts products, in order to meet the supply chain requirements of "just in time production" of the host factory, enterprises are extremely sensitive to timeliness. Once logistics delays lead to production line "interruption", losses may reach millions of yuan. Furthermore, the international transportation protection of precision and vulnerable components is a major challenge, as the rate of cargo damage directly affects product performance and customer satisfaction.
To address the pain points of enterprises, Ningbo Customs has innovatively launched the "Customs Intelligent Review ETC" regulatory model, taking into account the characteristics of similar product forms, regular packaging, and large cargo volume. This model constructs a new algorithm model with deep correlation between "image, goods, and enterprise" through personalized customization of local warehouse enterprises and product lists. When the incoming goods hit the inspection instruction, the system automatically compares the enterprise and product information based on the machine inspection image, and prioritizes the use of the "Customs Intelligent Audit ETC" algorithm model for intelligent audit analysis, greatly reducing the clearance time and cost of compliant enterprises' goods.
Without the need to open or unpack, allowing the intelligent system to automatically make accurate judgments has significantly shortened our customs clearance time and given us more confidence in expanding into overseas markets, "said Manager Zhang of Ningbo Top Group.  
At present, Ningbo Customs has built more than 230 local characteristic algorithms containing 30 types of goods. The inspection time of enterprise goods included in the local database has been greatly improved, effectively helping enterprises reduce costs and increase efficiency.
