On the morning of June 28th, a long whistle blew across the river, and the "SAIC Anji Phoenix" ship carrying more than 1300 domestic cars slowly set sail from Nanjing Port, heading towards the Middle East region. This is the second roll on/roll off ocean route opened by Nanjing Port, and also the first new roll on/roll off foreign trade route in the Middle East.

This batch of exported cars comes from Nanjing, Wuxi, Zhengzhou and other places. In the past, when exporting vehicles from Nanjing Port to the Middle East, they needed to go through a river sea intermodal transportation mode, transfer from Nanjing Port to coastal ports, and then transfer to international shipping ships to go out to sea. "Zhou Chibin, the general manager of Nanjing Port Jiangsheng Automobile Terminal Co., Ltd., introduced," The opening of the new roll on/roll off foreign trade route in the Middle East has opened up a direct sea route for complete vehicles from Nanjing to the Middle East, filling the gap in the direct roll on/roll off to the Middle East market at Nanjing Port and providing efficient logistics support for domestic independent brands and new energy vehicles to explore the Middle East market

In response to the characteristics of a large number of vehicles, complex vehicle models, and tight shipping schedules for this automobile export, the Xinshengwei Customs under Nanjing Customs relies on a normalized customs port coordination mechanism to dynamically track the progress of vehicle collection and loading, actively promote convenient measures such as "advance declaration+appointment inspection", and effectively reduce the waiting time for ship berthing operations. At the same time, Xinshengwei Customs focuses on the entire process of automobile export, proactively liaising with ports, shipping agents, and freight forwarders, providing business consultation and declaration guidance, closely monitoring various business operations such as logistics, customs clearance, inspection, and release, and fully ensuring smooth customs clearance for automobile exports.

It is reported that since 2026, the international routes of Nanjing Port have gradually expanded from Southeast Asia to Africa and the Americas, with a total of 23 routes. (Jiao Liya/Text)
