Mechanical and electrical components are imported in the "East" wind of RCEP
With the continuous release of RCEP policy dividends and the continuous improvement of port clearance facilitation, the scale of China's imports of goods from ASEAN has steadily expanded. In addition to tropical agricultural products, energy mineral products and other characteristic commodities maintaining a good growth trend, the import of electromechanical intermediate products such as printing equipment parts and electronic components continues to grow, providing strong support for domestic manufacturing production assembly and industrial iteration and upgrading.
Recently, a batch of printing equipment components from Cambodia were released under the supervision of Huangdao Customs under Qingdao Customs, and then the equipment went to the production workshop of Futaihua Precision Industry (Weihai) Co., Ltd. to complete the transformation from zero to whole on the production line.
As one of the key enterprises in Weihai's global billion level printer industry base, the company has continuously expanded its production capacity and maintained stable operation of its production lines in recent years, leading to an increasingly strong demand for imported upstream components. With the implementation of regional free trade agreements, the threshold for regional trade has been continuously lowered, and cross-border customs clearance has become more convenient, creating favorable conditions for enterprises to carry out ASEAN procurement.
The local electromechanical equipment component manufacturers in ASEAN are highly concentrated, with a wide range of supply options, making it convenient for us to compare and screen high-quality and suitable component sources. At the same time, the procurement prices are more advantageous, which can effectively control the production costs of enterprises, "said Sun Shuguang, the deputy manager of the company.
Multiple favorable factors stimulate manufacturing enterprises to fully utilize regional cooperation opportunities, optimize supply chain layout, and actively expand component imports. At present, more than 50% of our total imports are parts imported from ASEAN. In the first eight months of this year, the value of imports from ASEAN exceeded 300 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.2 times, "said Sun Shuguang." Adequate supply of parts has effectively ensured the operation of the printer production line and made our supply chain more diversified and stable. Currently, we produce more than 12 million printers annually
In order to fully safeguard the stable operation of enterprise production lines, the customs focus on the industrial chain needs of manufacturing enterprises and continuously optimize the ASEAN component import supervision services. We promote the policy dividends of RCEP and China ASEAN Free Trade Agreement with precision, provide special guidance on rules of origin, and help enterprises make full use of tariff reductions and regional accumulation rules to reduce import procurement costs. ”Dong Cunbo, the head of the Comprehensive Business Section 1 of the Comprehensive Business Department 2 of Huangdao Customs, stated that the customs also provides "one-stop" services such as tax rate inquiry, classification consultation, and compliance declaration to help enterprises obtain stable supply of ASEAN components, ensure the continuous operation of production lines, and empower the deep integration and development of regional industrial chains.
According to statistics, in the first eight months of this year, the value of imported goods from ASEAN in Shandong Province was 221.43 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.7%. (Wang Hui/Text)
