World Trade Organization: Latest data shows global trade in goods remains resilient

The "Goods Trade Barometer" released by the World Trade Organization on the 9th shows that the latest barometer index is 102.0, higher than the benchmark value of 100 and the previous index of 101.7 in June this year, indicating that goods trade is above trend level and continues to grow.

The World Trade Organization stated that despite ongoing geopolitical and policy related uncertainties, the growth of global goods trade remains resilient. The negative impact of the Middle East conflict continues to be partially offset by strong demand for artificial intelligence related electronic components and other goods.

According to the compilation rules of the World Trade Organization Global Goods Trade Prosperity Index, a value of 100 is used as the benchmark. If the index is greater than 100, it indicates that the global goods trade growth is higher than expected, otherwise it indicates that the growth is lower than expected.
