According to Xiamen Customs statistics, from January to April, Fujian exported ships worth 6.56 billion yuan, setting a new historical high for the same period and a year-on-year increase of 24.6%.
Bulk carriers are the main types of ships exported from Fujian. Data shows that from January to April, Fujian exported bulk carriers worth 2.78 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.7%, accounting for over 40% of the province's total ship export value during the same period. During the same period, the export of Fujian's liquid cargo ships showed explosive growth, with an export scale of 1.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.8 times, accounting for 28.9%; Export roll on/roll off ships amounted to 1.34 billion yuan, accounting for 20.4%.
The European Union holds an important share in the ship export market in Fujian. According to statistics, from January to April, Fujian exported ships worth 2.05 billion yuan, a significant increase of 1.7 times year-on-year, accounting for 31.2% of the province's total ship export value during the same period, and driving the province's ship export growth by 24.6 percentage points; Among them, Fujian exported ships worth 1.67 billion yuan to Malta, a year-on-year increase of 2.5 times. During the same period, Africa became a hot selling market for Fujian's ship exports, with Fujian exporting ships worth 1.58 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.6 times, accounting for 24%; Among them, the demand in Liberia's consumer market is strong, with Fujian exporting 1.34 billion yuan to it, a year-on-year increase of 5.1 times.
