Adding a new channel for foreign trade to the Yellow River Basin

Recently, the "Luoyang Shouyangshan Shandong Qingdao Port" sea rail intermodal train was launched, loaded with 86 standard containers of office furniture. It is reported that this is the 110th sea rail intermodal train line opened by Shandong ports, adding another new channel for foreign trade in the Yellow River Basin.

Relying on the sea rail intermodal land sea logistics channel, Luoyang's foreign trade goods can be assembled and grouped at Shouyangshan Station and directly shipped to Qingdao Port, eliminating multiple transfer and inversion processes and effectively reducing the overall transportation time, "said Dai Xuechao, assistant manager of the Qingdao Port Sea Rail Intermodal Center Business Department." Foreign trade enterprises can connect with Qingdao Port's overseas supporting services without leaving the 'hinterland', truly extending the 'seaport' to their doorstep

Relying on sea rail intermodal transportation and inland port network, Qingdao Port has become an important gateway for foreign trade enterprises in the Yellow River Basin to go global. To ensure the smooth operation of the new train, Huangdao Customs under Qingdao Customs has contacted port operators and logistics companies in advance, clarified the operation plan and cargo flow of the train, publicized relevant export supervision policies in advance, and assisted enterprises in standardizing declaration. In addition, Huangdao Customs actively facilitates the exchange of port logistics information channels, realizes the exchange and sharing of logistics and customs clearance data in the port area, reduces container detention time, and ensures the rapid completion of port operations and timely boarding and departure of goods by trains arriving at the port.

We closely monitor the customs clearance needs of sea rail intermodal goods upon arrival at the port, based on the port supervision function, and do a good job in port clearance protection, "said Zhang Zhisen, Deputy Director of the Port Supervision Department of Huangdao Customs. In order to further help inland enterprises reduce cross-border logistics costs and enhance the resilience of the industrial chain supply chain, Huangdao Customs has collaborated with Shandong ports to deeply cultivate the inland market of the Yellow River Basin, improve the layout of inland ports, and increase the number of sea rail intermodal routes.

At present, Shandong ports have established 10 inland ports and opened 19 sea rail intermodal routes in Henan, among which "Henan Zhengzhou Putian Station Qingdao Port" and "Henan Jiaozuo Qingdao Port" trains have achieved regular operation. In the first nine months of this year, Shandong ports completed a sea rail intermodal container volume of 3.686 million TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 8.5%. (Bi Wenbo/Wen)
