Recently, a batch of 250 tons of Brazilian peanut meal was successfully cleared and entered the country after being supervised and inspected by Huangdao Customs under Qingdao Customs. This is the first time in the country that peanut meal from Brazil has been imported.

Peanut meal is a by-product of peanut oil extraction through pressing. Due to its high content of plant protein and good palatability, it can be widely used in livestock and poultry breeding, feed production, and other fields, with strong market demand.

In May 2025, the General Administration of Customs issued a notice allowing the import of Brazilian corn wine residue and peanut meal that meet relevant requirements, making Brazilian corn wine residue and peanut meal another high-quality option for plant protein feed.

In response to the characteristics of peanut meal being prone to mold and difficult to prevent and control safety risks, Huangdao Customs has efficiently promoted the qualification verification and filing of overseas enterprises, streamlined the inspection and quarantine process of peanut meal imports throughout the entire chain, opened up a dedicated customs clearance channel, and ensured the smooth clearance of the first batch of goods.
