The 12th Asian Indoor Athletics Championships will be held in Tianjin from February 6th to 8th, attracting athletes from 35 countries and regions in Asia to actively participate. The total number of participants is expected to exceed 500.

From February 3rd to 4th, athletes, coaches, staff, and others from countries such as South Korea, the Philippines, and Singapore arrived at Tianjin Airport Port one after another and entered the country through the Tianjin Binhai Airport Customs under the jurisdiction of Tianjin Customs, successfully completing the customs clearance procedures.

In order to ensure the clearance of personnel related to the event, Tianjin Customs actively contacts the organizing units, understands the relevant flight plans in advance, and specially formulates plans for inbound and outbound clearance and health quarantine work. Open a dedicated channel for event clearance and fully apply the "smart travel inspection" supervision mode of Tianjin Customs to ensure efficient clearance of athletes and related personnel.

Since 2025, Tianjin Customs has combined the upgrading and renovation of the T1 terminal of Tianjin Binhai International Airport, integrating hand luggage inspection and health quarantine into one, upgrading software and hardware such as intelligent interception gates, intelligent storage cabinets, visualization systems, and mobile apps, realizing the "double pre inspection" for entry and "one-time inspection" for exit clearance mode, reducing the overall clearance time of flights by 60%, and improving the clearance experience of inbound and outbound passengers with "seamless clearance and intelligent supervision".
