On January 21st, a man bound 58 old mobile phones and entered the country through Gongbei Port, but was caught on the spot by the Gongbei Customs.
At around 17:10 on that day, Hong Kong man Zhuang entered through the customs "green channel" at the Gongbei Port Inspection Hall. The on-site customs officer found the man leaning over a black bag in front of him, his eyes wandering and pretending to be calm, so they intercepted him. After inspection, the customs officers found 58 old mobile phones wrapped in plastic film from his waist, abdomen, and legs, and there were no abnormalities in the black bags.
Customs reminds that according to relevant regulations, those who evade customs supervision by hiding and bring goods that should be taxed according to law into the country are considered smuggling activities. If the circumstances are serious enough to constitute a crime, they will be held criminally responsible in accordance with the law. (Written by Guo Shanshan)
