Report shows that nearly 60% of surveyed American companies plan to increase their investments in China

According to Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, January 28th (Reporter Zou Duowei), the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade released the "2026 China Business Environment Survey Report" released by the American Chamber of Commerce in China on the 28th. The report shows that nearly 60% of the surveyed American companies plan to increase their investments in China.

According to the recently released report, over half of the surveyed companies in China and the United States expect to achieve profitability or significant profits by 2025, and over 70% of the surveyed companies have not yet considered transferring their production or procurement processes outside of China.

Wang Wenshuai, spokesperson for the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, stated at a regular press conference on the same day that this reflects from one aspect that China will undoubtedly become a fertile ground for foreign investment and development in the long run.

In the past year, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) received and met with foreign leaders from the political, business, and international organizations 462 times, and led a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs to visit the headquarters of foreign-funded enterprises such as Apple, HP, Maersk, and Mercedes Benz 16 times. The proportion of overseas exhibitors at the 3rd Chain Expo has increased to 35%. As of now, a group of foreign-funded enterprises, including many Fortune 500 companies, have confirmed their participation in the fourth Chain Expo to be held in June this year.

While foreign investment has cast a vote of confidence in the Chinese market, the demand for Chinese enterprises to "go global" is also constantly increasing. In 2025, China's outward direct investment increased by 7.1% year-on-year, and the stock of outward investment has remained among the top three in the world for nine consecutive years.

According to the "2025 Survey Report on the Status and Intentions of Chinese Enterprises' Outbound Investment" to be released by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, based on a sample survey of more than 1200 Chinese outbound investment enterprises, the outbound investment of Chinese enterprises will develop steadily in 2025. Nearly 80% of the surveyed enterprises will expand and maintain their intention to invest abroad, and nearly 90% of the surveyed enterprises hold a relatively optimistic attitude towards the prospects of China's outbound investment.
