Jiuzhou Customs seized passengers who illegally carried HKD 311000 out of the country

On March 21st, Jiuzhou Customs under Gongbei Customs seized a passenger who illegally carried 311000 Hong Kong dollars out of the country at the Jiuzhou Port inspection site.
On that day, when the on-site customs officers were supervising the luggage and belongings of outbound passengers, they found that one passenger's luggage and belongings were abnormal, so they intercepted and inspected it. After further inspection, the customs officer found HKD 311000 in his carry on bag. The passenger is a multiple outbound passenger within 15 days.
Customs reminder: According to relevant regulations, the limit for first-time outbound passengers to carry Hong Kong dollars within 15 days is equivalent to 5000 US dollars; Passengers who leave the country for the second time or more within 15 days and for the second time or more on the same day are allowed to carry cash equivalent to no more than 1000 US dollars and 500 US dollars respectively. Customs clearance will not be granted if the amount exceeds the limit. If it is necessary to carry a large amount of cash beyond the limit, one should apply for a foreign exchange exit permit from the foreign exchange management department or bank in advance.
