Recently, a batch of 100 TEUs worth approximately 21 million yuan worth of cross-border e-commerce export goods are undergoing joint inspection by Zengcheng Customs and Zengcheng Railway Logistics Business Department of Guangzhou Railway Logistics Center at Zengcheng West Station, the eastern hub of Guangzhou's public rail intermodal transportation. After inspection and release, the goods will be packed and transported to Europe on the China Europe freight train. This is the first time that the supervision of China Europe freight trains in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area has achieved a "one-time unpacking and synchronous operation" of customs inspection and railway security check.

The cross-border e-commerce train business at Zengcheng West Station, a hub for urban rail intermodal transportation in eastern Guangzhou, has developed rapidly, with over half of the cross-border e-commerce goods exported in small and multiple batches.

Zengcheng Customs and Zengcheng Railway Logistics Business Department of Guangzhou Railway Logistics Center have negotiated multiple times to explore the establishment of a "two inspections in one" collaborative supervision mechanism. Both parties will use the Zengcheng West Station Cross border E-commerce Supervision Center as a unified inspection site, develop joint inspection operating procedures, introduce non-invasive X-ray inspection equipment, and implement unified inspection for goods that simultaneously hit customs inspection instructions and railway spot check instructions, avoiding repeated unloading and loading, and achieving coordinated operation and mutual recognition of results between customs inspection and railway security inspection.

Under the collaborative supervision mechanism of 'two inspections in one', customs officers and railway security personnel carry out one-time unpacking of containers based on different inspection focuses. After both parties have inspected and confirmed no abnormalities, the entire operation process can be shortened by 3 hours, "said Yuan Zhihua, deputy director of the Zengcheng Customs Supervision Department.
