Yantai Airport welcomes the trend of "cross-border tourism"

Starting from September 29th this year, the South Korean government has implemented a visa free entry policy for Chinese group tourists. As of October 28th, Yantai Customs under Qingdao Customs has supervised a total of 40194 inbound and outbound personnel at Yantai Airport, including 19764 inbound personnel and 20430 outbound personnel, an increase of 22.5% and 28% respectively year-on-year.

The short distance and frequent flights have gradually developed Yantai Airport into a "golden air channel" for personnel exchanges between China and South Korea.

To cope with the continuously increasing passenger flow and ensure efficient and smooth customs clearance, Yantai Customs has further promoted the construction of a smart customs and the "Smart Customs Strong Country" action. Through the comprehensive application of the "Smart Travel Inspection" system, integrating advanced machine inspection, intelligent map review, personnel clearance dynamic monitoring, and risk assessment technology, it has achieved "seamless clearance" of normal luggage and effectively improved the clearance experience.

Sun Gang, the manager of China Eastern Airlines Yantai Branch, said, "In the past month, the passenger load factor of flights to and from South Korea has significantly increased, and passengers generally feedback that the customs clearance process is smooth and the experience is good
