Yulin red date vinegar exports to Vietnam for the first time

On January 27th, it was learned from Xi'an Customs that a batch of 5.9 tons of red date vinegar produced by Jia County Zao Yuan Wai Zao Industry Co., Ltd. has been successfully exported to Vietnam after passing inspection by Yulin Customs, a subsidiary of Xi'an Customs. This is the first time Yulin has exported red date vinegar, marking a crucial step in the transformation of the local red date industry from traditional primary processing to high value-added deep processing.

From the formulation of production standards to product inspection and release, with full guidance from customs, we have avoided many detours, "said Chen Rui, the person in charge of Jiaxian Zaoyuanwai Jujube Industry Co., Ltd. The successful export of jujube vinegar has opened the door to the international market and strengthened the company's confidence in deepening its deep processing industry.

As a "famous hometown of Chinese red dates", Jiaxian has a 3000 year history of red date cultivation, with 820000 acres of jujube forests stretching along the banks of the Yellow River, of which 300000 acres have obtained organic certification. For a long time, the local jujube industry chain has been short, with low added value and a single market channel. Most enterprises mainly produce primary products such as dried jujube, and their ability to resist market risks is weak.

Jiaxian Zaoyuanwai Jujube Industry Co., Ltd. relies on high-quality jujube resources in the county to develop unique flavored products such as jujube vinegar and jujube wine. However, when expanding into the international market, it faces challenges such as unfamiliar export standards and unclear inspection and quarantine processes. After learning about the demands of the enterprise, Yulin Customs quickly took action and formed a special service team to provide one-on-one assistance to the enterprise. Regarding the key links involved in the export of red date vinegar, such as food safety standards, labeling standards, and microbiological index control, customs staff provided on-site guidance to enterprises to establish and improve quality and safety management systems, optimize production and processing processes, and improve the full chain traceability mechanism for raw material procurement, process control, and finished product inspection. Considering the lack of experience in exporting for the first time, Yulin Customs has opened a green channel, simplified the declaration process, compressed the inspection and quarantine cycle, and provided interpretation of relevant national standards and policy consulting services for export destinations to help enterprises obtain export qualifications smoothly.

The enterprise will take this export as an opportunity to further expand its production scale. It plans to add a deep processing production line for jujube wine and jujube flavored beverages within the year, with an expected annual processing capacity of 150 tons, which can drive more than 500 jujube farmers in the surrounding area to increase their income.

Lv Bo, the head of Yulin Customs, stated that assisting in the export of characteristic agricultural products is an important measure for customs to serve rural revitalization. Next, Yulin Customs will continue to focus on the transformation and upgrading needs of Jiaxian jujube industry, deepen the "one enterprise, one policy" precise assistance mechanism, provide more customized services around industry chain extension, brand building, international market expansion, and other aspects, and promote more "Jiaxian jujube" series of deep processed products to go global.
