The supply of cattle from Qinchuan in Weinan increased by 23.3% year-on-year

On January 26th, it was learned from Weinan Customs that in 2025, the export quantity of Qinchuan cattle under the supervision of Weinan Customs will be 1612, with a value of 53.691 million yuan, an increase of 23.3% and 37.1% respectively year-on-year, and the export volume will remain the highest in the province.

Qinchuan cattle is one of the five major yellow cattle breeds in China, and has become the main choice for producing high-end beef due to its delicious meat, distinct texture, and rich flavor. Since the supply of Qinchuan cattle to Hong Kong in the 1980s, it has been highly favored by Hong Kong citizens. As the core production area of Qinchuan cattle, Weinan has high-quality live cattle resources.

In recent years, in order to enhance the competitiveness of Qinchuan cattle in the live cattle market in Hong Kong, Weinan Customs has strengthened source management, guided enterprises to improve quality control systems, optimized live cattle breeding methods, strictly implemented disease monitoring and pesticide residue monitoring, opened up a "green channel" for inspection 24/7, smooth the "territorial port" cooperation mechanism for supplying live cattle to Hong Kong, actively coordinated and resolved export quota issues for enterprises, and helped enterprises obtain self operated export operation rights and export quota "dual qualifications".
