Our province's first import and export cargo water transfer multimodal transport supervision business has been implemented
In order to improve the convenience level of international multimodal transport goods clearance, the General Administration of Customs has decided to launch a pilot program for the supervision mode of sea rail intermodal transport and water water intermodal transport for import and export goods on the basis of the previous pilot program. The relevant measures will be implemented from January 27, 2026. On January 27th, Jiujiang Customs successfully handled the province's first import and export cargo water transfer multimodal transport supervision business. The batch of children's rocking chairs with a value of about 41000 US dollars were transported out of the country by the "Hansheng 248" cargo ship after being transported from Jiujiang to Shanghai.
The relevant person in charge of China Jiujiang Ocean Shipping Agency Co., Ltd., which applied for the first shipment business, stated that the newly implemented multimodal transport supervision mode simplifies the declaration process. Enterprises can complete customs clearance procedures by filling out the application form and related electronic data online; The transfer of goods is more smoothly connected. After the goods are inspected and released, they can be directly loaded onto designated ships for transportation out of the country, achieving seamless connection between domestic transportation and outbound logistics; The change operation is more convenient. In case of logistics information adjustment, you can apply to the customs to change the domestic or outbound logistics information according to regulations, without the need to return the goods to the place of origin, greatly reducing logistics and time costs.
To ensure the smooth progress of the pilot work of multimodal transport supervision mode, Nanchang Customs has provided detailed explanations to enterprises on the requirements for filling out multimodal transport application forms and electronic data transmission through on-site lectures, online training, and other methods, helping enterprises understand the key policy points; In the declaration process, the customs commissioner follows up and guides the agent enterprise to complete the process of submitting the multimodal transport application form and transmitting the arrival information, achieving "one-time declaration, full supervision, and seamless connection". The person in charge of the Port Supervision Department of Nanchang Customs stated that the next step will be to strengthen coordination and linkage with ports, shipping companies, and agency enterprises, improve the "single window" data transmission mechanism for international trade, promote the normalization and scale development of multimodal transport business, and open up more economical and convenient channels for "Gan goods going abroad".
