Ministry of Commerce: Promote the improvement and efficiency of China Ukraine economic and trade cooperation, deepen and implement it

Beijing, February 5th (Xinhua) -- Spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce, He Yadong, stated on the 5th that in recent years, under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, political mutual trust between China and Uruguay has deepened, and cooperation in various fields has steadily advanced. China has maintained Uruguay's position as the largest trading partner for over a decade. The Chinese side will work together with the Ukrainian side to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, make good use of mechanisms such as the bilateral economic and trade mixed committee, and promote the quality, efficiency, depth, and practicality of China Ukraine economic and trade cooperation.

He Yadong introduced that during this visit, the two heads of state held talks, which pointed out the direction for promoting the development of bilateral economic and trade relations. Under the joint witness of the two heads of state, the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uruguay signed a memorandum of understanding on deepening bilateral trade facilitation cooperation, confirming the strengthening of cooperation in supply chain, standards and conformity assessment, trade facilitation and digitization, green trade and other fields, and promoting high-quality development of bilateral trade.
