Recently, a batch of fresh avocados weighing 1.5 tons from Menglian County, Pu'er City, Yunnan Province, were sent to Malaysia and Thailand after passing customs inspection, marking the first export of China's largest avocado plantation to ASEAN and an important step towards internationalization of domestically produced avocados.

Menglian is known as the "Hometown of Chinese Avocados". With its unique natural conditions, the county has built a standardized avocado planting base of 122100 acres, making it the only production area in China that can stably supply high-quality avocados in bulk.

In order to assist agricultural products in expanding overseas markets, the local government and customs departments have innovatively established a "customs local linkage" assistance mechanism, providing precise guidance on "one enterprise, one policy" for the qualification, quarantine, customs clearance and other difficulties faced by enterprises in exporting. The relevant departments will extend their services to the production line, assist in improving the quality traceability system, efficiently complete the registration and filing of orchards and packaging factories, and successfully connect key export links.
