The sixth meeting of the Sino Finnish Innovation Enterprise Cooperation Committee was held in Beijing

On January 26th, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and the Finnish Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment jointly hosted the sixth meeting of the Sino Finnish Innovation Enterprise Cooperation Committee in Beijing. Finnish Prime Minister Aalborg and Chinese Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao attended the closing ceremony of the conference and delivered speeches. More than 120 representatives from the business communities of China and Finland attended the meeting. After the meeting, Prime Minister Olbo and Minister Wang Wentao held a discussion with representatives from the Finnish business community.

Orbo stated that Finland China relations have a long history, frequent high-level exchanges, and stable economic and trade cooperation. China is an important trading partner and export market for Finland, and Finnish companies attach great importance to the enormous potential of the Chinese market. Since its establishment in 2017, the Finland China Innovation Enterprise Cooperation Committee has become an important platform for promoting enterprise exchanges and economic and trade exchanges. The two countries have a strong willingness to cooperate in areas such as green and low-carbon, circular economy, and industrial digitization, and hope that their enterprises will translate the exchange results into specific cooperation projects. Finland supports free trade and fair competition, and hopes that Europe and China can enhance mutual trust and reduce trade barriers. Finland welcomes Chinese companies to invest in Finland and will create a favorable business environment for Chinese enterprises.

Under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, the economic and trade cooperation between China and Finland has achieved fruitful results, with continuous improvement in both "new content" and "green content", setting an example of open cooperation and mutual benefit. This year marks the beginning of China's 15th Five Year Plan. China will continue to promote high-quality development, firmly expand high-level opening up to the outside world, and welcome Sino Finnish enterprises to strengthen confidence, seize opportunities, and further expand cooperation in trade, investment, innovation, and other fields. I hope the Finnish government can play an active role in promoting the EU to prudently use economic and trade restriction tools, work together with China to oppose protectionism, and create a fair, open, non discriminatory, and predictable policy environment for cooperation between China, Finland, and China Europe enterprises.

During the conference, representatives of Sino Finnish enterprises engaged in lively discussions on cooperation in innovation, green, digital and other fields, and signed multiple commercial agreements.
