Fuzhou Port adds another 'BRICS' roll on/roll off route
On January 23rd, 3120 new energy vehicles boarded the "BYD Hefei" roll on/roll off ship from Jiangyin Port Area of Fuzhou Port to Brazil, marking the addition of another "BRICS" roll on/roll off route to Fuzhou Port.
In recent years, the demand for complete vehicles in overseas markets has continued to be strong. As a golden hub for the export of complete vehicles along the southeast coast, Fuzhou Port's roll on/roll off routes have covered 19 countries in Europe, America, Southeast Asia, Africa, the Middle East, South America and other regions. According to statistics from Fuzhou Customs, the export of automobiles in Fujian Province will reach 22.27 billion yuan in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 56.9%. Fujian Province has achieved rapid growth in the field of automobile exports relying on a complete automobile industry cluster.
This whole vehicle export is also the first time that BYD's self operated roll on/roll off ships have set sail from Fuzhou Port. The shipping time from Fuzhou Port Jiangyin Port to South America is about 20 days, with a significant time advantage over northern ports. At the same time, the sea rail intermodal mode can efficiently connect Fujian and inland automobile industry clusters. It is reported that the "BYD Hefei" vessel, which is going to sea this time, can load 7000 vehicles at once. It adopts an advanced LNG dual fuel power system, which combines a large load capacity with green environmental protection characteristics, and is the core transportation capacity for BYD's global ocean transportation.
To ensure the first voyage, Rongcheng Customs, a subsidiary of Fuzhou Customs, has proactively intervened and provided services tailored to the characteristics of "large volume, strong timeliness, and long chain" of automobile roll on/roll off exports. They have created a "one ship, one policy" customs clearance plan and implemented convenient measures such as "advance declaration", "appointment inspection and release", and "24-hour customs clearance guarantee" to maximize the compression of ship stay time and ensure efficient and smooth first voyage tasks.
