By 2025, the total number of inbound and outbound passengers under the supervision of Yantai Customs Port Travel Inspection Site will reach 188500, and the demand for cross-border tourism, family visits, and business travel will be fully stimulated.

We have specially changed our mode of transportation, taking a boat from Yantai to South Korea is convenient and hassle free, and customs clearance is also very smooth, without delaying the trip at all! "Mr. Li, a frequent business traveler who travels back and forth between China and South Korea, gave a thumbs up to the customs supervision service. Behind this is a series of precise supervision and convenient service measures launched by the customs in response to the new changes in passenger flow under the visa free policy.

Faced with the growth of passenger flow, Yantai Customs has implemented precise policies that balance safety and efficiency. By establishing an information sharing mechanism with shipping companies, we can obtain the dynamic information of passenger ships and passengers in advance, dynamically allocate backbone forces, and optimize human resource deployment. At the same time, deepen collaboration with border inspection departments, simplify the connection process, and achieve rapid customs clearance for passengers after disembarking.

We have also launched a 'centralized declaration and rapid inspection' model to cater to the characteristics of concentrated travel for tourism groups. We verify group information in advance and achieve 'immediate inspection and rapid release' for tourism groups, making customs clearance more convenient for passengers. Jiang Yuanwu, head of the Travel Inspection Department of Yantai Customs Port Office, said that the customs always adheres to the principle of balancing safety and convenience, and strives to ensure smooth cross-border travel channels between China and South Korea.

In the whole year of 2025, Yantai Customs has supervised a total of 590 inbound and outbound passenger ships on the China Korea route, and supervised 188500 inbound and outbound passengers, a year-on-year increase of 38.15%, with the highest daily passenger flow exceeding 1600.

Next, Yantai Customs will continue to focus on the new demands and characteristics of cross-border travel between China and South Korea, further deepen the construction of "smart travel inspection", optimize regulatory processes, upgrade service measures, continuously improve customs clearance efficiency and regulatory effectiveness, and provide more solid customs protection for the prosperity of the China South Korea cross-border tourism market and the convenience of personnel travel.
