Customs Release Weibo: 25.113 tons of undeclared food seized
Recently, during the inspection of a batch of export goods declared as "plastic packaging bags, plastic tablecloths, etc." by Beilun Customs, a subsidiary of Ningbo Customs, 25.113 tons of undeclared food were seized. It was found that the goods in the container were actually dozens of undeclared foods such as hotpot base, beverages, instant noodles, etc. After counting, a total of 25.113 tons of various undeclared foods were found. According to the Customs Law of the People's Republic of China and relevant laws and regulations, food is a legally inspected commodity for export. Enterprises should truthfully declare and strictly fulfill their declaration obligations when exporting legally inspected commodities. If the export of legally inspected goods is not declared or declared incorrectly, the customs will pursue corresponding legal responsibilities in accordance with the law. At present, the goods have been handed over to the customs comprehensive disposal department for processing.
