Henan Daily: Henan enterprises hold 'paper gold' to enter overseas markets (focus on Henan's foreign trade in 2025)

On January 29th, the reporter learned from Zhengzhou Customs that by 2025, the customs will issue 85000 certificates of origin for various free trade agreements such as China ASEAN and RCEP for more than 4100 enterprises in our province, with a value of nearly 40 billion yuan, injecting strong impetus into the development of the international market for "Made in Henan".
The certificate of origin of a free trade agreement is not only the "identity proof" of the origin of goods, but also the "core certificate" for enterprises to enjoy tariff reductions in the importing country. It is known as the "paper gold" in the industry for exploring international markets. Thanks to the China South Korea agreement on the certificate of origin, customers have enjoyed over 30 million yuan in tariff benefits over the past 10 years, "said the person in charge of Henan Ancai High tech Co., Ltd. This enterprise engaged in the production and export of solar photovoltaic glass is a microcosm of our province's enterprises using the China Korea Free Trade Agreement to explore and deeply cultivate the Korean market.
Last year, it coincided with the 10th anniversary of the entry into force of the China South Korea and China Australia free trade agreements. The dividend of tariff reduction over the past 10 years has become increasingly prominent year by year, and the list of beneficiary products continues to expand. Relevant agreement certificates have become a "standard" for "Made in Henan" exports to international markets such as South Korea and Australia.
At present, China has signed more than 10 free trade agreements with more than 20 countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road", and the level of trade liberalization and facilitation has been constantly improving. Zhengzhou Customs uses the certificate of origin visa as a lever to guide enterprises to enhance their product competitiveness by applying for a certificate of origin, and to open the door to more overseas markets.
Henan Yinjinda New Materials Co., Ltd. is one of the beneficiaries. We have applied for a certificate of origin from the China ASEAN Free Trade Area, and the heat shrink film exported to Thailand has enjoyed a 5 percentage point tariff preferential treatment. The export orders have steadily increased, and customer stickiness has continued to strengthen, "said the foreign trade manager of the company.
The tariff reduction injects momentum into regional economic development and brings more opportunities for enterprises to participate in international competition. It is understood that last year Zhengzhou Customs issued 67000 FTA certificates of origin to countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road", involving 31.33 billion yuan in value, up 16% and 15.1% year on year respectively, helping enterprises obtain about 1.47 billion yuan in tariff concessions in importing countries, of which electromechanical, chemical, food, plastics, clothing, furniture and other labor-intensive products benefited the most. In 2025, our province's export to countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road" will be 183.16 billion yuan, up 4.3% year on year; The number of export enterprises has exceeded 11000, an increase of 16.9%.
The certificate of origin of the free trade agreement is like a 'golden key' that opens the door to the international market. By making good use of it, we can gain an advantage in seizing overseas markets, "said Zhang Xin, Director of the Customs Tariff Department of Zhengzhou Customs. The next step will be to increase the promotion and implementation of tariff preferential policies, continue to promote the reform of visa facilitation, and help more 'Made in Henan' to set sail overseas.
