The 22nd meeting of the China Uruguay Economic and Trade Joint Committee was held in Beijing
On January 29th, Li Chenggang, International Trade Negotiator and Deputy Minister of Commerce of the Ministry of Commerce, and Sukashi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uruguay, co chaired the 22nd meeting of the China Ukraine Economic and Trade Joint Committee in Beijing, exchanging in-depth views on bilateral economic and trade cooperation related issues.
Li Chenggang stated that against the backdrop of global economic slowdown, increasing uncertainty, and weak trade, bilateral economic and trade cooperation between China and Ukraine has achieved remarkable results. During the 15th Five Year Plan period, China will steadfastly expand high-level opening up to the outside world and share opportunities and common development with countries around the world, including Uruguay. China is willing to strengthen the alignment of development strategies with Ukraine under the guidance of the head of state's diplomacy. While maintaining a good momentum of cooperation, we will explore opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in new fields such as new energy, technological innovation, and service trade, fully unleash the development potential of China and Ukraine, and continuously improve the level of economic and trade cooperation.
Sukashi stated that in recent years, the relationship between Ukraine and China has developed rapidly. China is Uruguay's largest trading partner, and the economic and trade cooperation between Uruguay and China is of great strategic significance to Uruguay. Next week, Ukrainian President Orsi will lead a large delegation to visit China, fully demonstrating the willingness to strengthen cooperation in various fields with China. The Ukrainian side is pleased to have prepared for the economic and trade achievements of the visit through the Economic and Trade Joint Committee, and hopes to deepen bilateral trade and investment cooperation, strengthen communication and coordination under the multilateral framework, promote the implementation of various achievements of the high-level visit, and promote the development of pragmatic cooperation between Ukraine and China to a higher level.
