On January 20th, under the on-site supervision of Laizhou Customs officers under Qingdao Customs, a batch of 27000 tons of imported fuel oil successfully completed port inspection and entered the unloading process.
This is the fifth batch of fuel oil unloaded by our company since the beginning of this year. Due to the recent concentration of fuel oil at the port and the tight storage tank resources, the speed of customs clearance directly affects the efficiency of port operations. "Yuan Lei, Deputy General Manager of Laizhou Port Co., Ltd. of Yantai Port Group, said that the customs insists on conducting cargo inspections as soon as the goods arrive and coordinating laboratory rapid testing, greatly reducing the clearance time and effectively enhancing the core competitiveness of the port.
To ensure efficient customs clearance of imported fuel oil, Laizhou Customs and Laizhou Port deepen cooperation, jointly develop countermeasures around key issues such as improving port efficiency, strengthening regulatory coordination, and optimizing business processes, and continue to promote deeper and more practical cooperation between customs and ports.
Customs closely monitors the various stages of goods arrival and departure, relying on the "Smart Customs and Strong Country" initiative to deepen the reform of "tax inspection integration" for imported fuel oil, achieving the integration and unification of statutory inspection and tax related laboratory testing. The testing items are streamlined by 40%, helping enterprises save about 10 days of testing time. At the same time, it links various links such as customs declaration, electronic document review, and port inspection, promoting process optimization and information interconnection, and enhancing the level of intelligent supervision.
In addition, the customs have implemented the reform requirements for weight appraisal of imported goods, optimized the appraisal process, and reduced the average demurrage time of each ship by more than 1 hour. (Cai Tengyue/Text)
