Pilot implementation of "bonded mixed ore" business for imported copper concentrate in Beihai
On January 27th, under the supervision of Beihai Customs under Nanning Customs, more than 9700 tons of imported copper concentrate were mixed in the production plant of Guangxi Wolong Mineral Resources Co., Ltd. in Zone B of Beihai Comprehensive Bonded Zone, marking the landing of the "bonded mixing" business pilot for imported copper concentrate in Beihai.
The "bonded mixed ore" business of copper concentrate is a new type of business that relies on the advantages of bonded policies to scientifically mix imported copper concentrates from different countries and grades, and supply them to downstream smelting enterprises after physical mixing.
Dong Yanhua, General Manager of Guangxi Wolong Mineral Resources Co., Ltd., said, "Previously, copper concentrates were imported after being mixed abroad, which had problems such as high logistics costs, large capital occupation, and inflexible operations. Now, the relevant copper concentrate mixed raw materials are imported in a bonded manner, and then 'customized' mixing is carried out according to national standards and customer needs to form high value-added products, expand mineral sources, and reduce import costs
To ensure the smooth progress of the pilot project for the "bonded mixed ore" business of copper concentrate, Beihai Customs, in collaboration with local departments such as commerce, ecology, and the comprehensive protection zone management committee, has guided enterprises to improve transportation warning systems, warehouse management systems, and other software and hardware facilities, and optimize production management processes. At the same time, based on the characteristics of the "bonded mixed ore" business, relying on technological means such as the comprehensive bonded zone video surveillance system and checkpoint data collection, the "remote+on-site" mode is used to supervise the entire chain of mixed ore operations, including filing, warehousing, mixing, and exiting the zone.
