The spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce answered questions from reporters regarding the anti-dumping investigation into imported dichlorosilane originating from Japan

A reporter asked: We have noticed that the Ministry of Commerce has launched an anti-dumping investigation on imported dichlorosilane originating from Japan. Can you introduce the relevant situation?

Answer: This survey was initiated in response to a domestic industry application. The preliminary evidence submitted by the applicant shows that from 2022 to 2024, the quantity of dichlorosilane imported from Japan has shown an overall upward trend, with a cumulative price decline of 31%. The dumping of imported products from Japan has caused damage to China's domestic industrial production and operation.

After receiving the application, the investigating authority reviewed it in accordance with relevant Chinese laws and regulations and followed the rules of the World Trade Organization. It was deemed that the application met the conditions for filing an anti-dumping investigation and decided to initiate an investigation.

The investigating authorities will conduct investigations in accordance with the law, fully safeguard the rights of all stakeholders, and make objective and fair judgments based on the investigation results.
