The 'Steel Camel Team' breaks the record again, with the Zhejiang Europe freight train running 3000 trains this year
On December 30, 2025, a China Europe train full of photovoltaic modules and auto parts will set off from Jinhua South Station by whistling. After being supervised by Jinhua Customs under the jurisdiction of Hangzhou Customs, it will leave Khorgos Port in Xinjiang and go to five Central Asian countries. The launch of this train marks a historic high for the Zhejiang China Europe Express (Yixin Europe), with a total of over 3000 trains in 2025.
As one of the 14 China Europe freight train assembly centers in China, the Zhejiang China Europe freight train will continue to make efforts in channel expansion by 2025, and the application scenarios of multimodal transport will be further expanded. In April 2025, the first fully integrated railway public multimodal transport "Yiwu Kashgar North Tashkent" train in the Yangtze River Delta will be opened, achieving one-stop customs clearance of "factories directly to overseas", with a time efficiency improvement of more than 15% compared to traditional modes; In June, the first "Jinhua Bashi Baku" trans Caspian China Europe freight train was launched nationwide, reducing transportation time by one day through the rail sea intermodal mode.
The structure of freight trains is showing a trend of high-end upgrading. With the deep integration with advanced manufacturing in Zhejiang, the categories of transported goods continue to expand, and the proportion of high value-added goods continues to increase. The formulation of railway transportation standards and technical specifications for electrified products has facilitated the operation of the first mixed transportation train for consumer lithium battery products in the Yangtze River Delta region. According to the relevant person in charge of Hangzhou Customs, from daily necessities to high-end manufacturing, from textile raw materials to precision instruments, "Zhejiang Manufacturing" is continuously entering the global market through the train.
'Digitization' is becoming the key word for the Zhejiang China Europe freight train. For example, the "Cloud Monitoring" platform of the station container data intelligent management system achieves "seamless release" and "visualization" of container management scheduling, synchronizing container entry and transfer loading, and improving station operation efficiency by more than 30%. At the same time, the visual business monitoring interface developed by customs, as well as the cross departmental collaborative supervision system with full visualization, have significantly improved regulatory efficiency.
Data shows that as of December 30, 2025, the Zhejiang China Europe freight train (Yixin Europe) has operated over 14900 trains and shipped over 1.22 million TEUs.
