Recently, Wan Chai Customs, a subsidiary of Gongbei Customs, seized a batch of fake and concealed natural charcoal through cross-border e-commerce channels, totaling 40 bags and weighing 1.1 tons.

On December 10th last year, the on-site customs officers found that a declared product named "scarf" was actually bagged charcoal. On December 30th, after appraisal by Gongbei Technology Center, the batch of charcoal was identified as "original charcoal". At present, the above-mentioned items have been handed over to the customs anti smuggling department for processing.

Customs Reminder: According to the Announcement of the Ministry of Commerce, General Administration of Customs, and State Forestry Administration (No. 40 of 2004), charcoal has been included in the "Catalogue of Prohibited Goods for Export" (second batch). Charcoal made directly from non bamboo wood (excluding shell charcoal, core charcoal, machine-made charcoal, etc. that do not use charcoal as raw material) is prohibited from export.
