Recently, Weihai Customs, a subsidiary of Qingdao Customs, seized 46 counterfeit virtual currency mining machines in cross-border e-commerce export channels.
During a random inspection of a batch of export e-commerce packages declared as "handbags" by on-site customs officers, it was found that the goods exhibited electronic equipment characteristics. After unpacking and inspection, it was discovered that the actual export e-commerce goods were virtual currency mining machines, totaling 46 units.
This mining machine has wireless independent operation function, small size, and uses "solo mode" to independently participate in virtual currency block competition. The winner is determined through a random number generation mechanism on the chain, also known as the "virtual currency lottery machine". At present, the customs has temporarily detained the batch of goods in accordance with regulations. (Zhu Xiaolu, Song Jun/Wen)
