On December 26th, the "Taishan Public Welfare Shenzhen Shekou" combined port route was officially opened, and a barge loaded with goods set sail from Taishan Public Welfare Port in Jiangmen City towards Shenzhen Shekou Port. This route is the 10th "Combined Port (One Port Connection)" route opened in Jiangmen City.

As an important logistics node in the west of Jiangmen, Taishan Public Welfare Port is an important foreign port for the export of large auto parts, glazed tiles, polymers and other goods on the west bank of the the Pearl River, and also an intersection of regional economic development and foreign trade. Promoting the implementation of the "One Hong Kong Connection" model in public welfare ports has become a key lever for promoting the sustained high-quality development of foreign trade in Jiangmen and facilitating integration and exchange with the hub ports of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. Under the "Combination Port (One Port Connection)" model, enterprises can complete cross customs cargo transportation through "one-time declaration, full process linkage", reducing the average transportation time of goods from the original 5 days to 2-3 days, effectively saving logistics costs.

The official opening of the "Taishan Public Welfare Shenzhen Shekou" combined port route is an important achievement of Jiangmen Customs in promoting the construction of a smart customs and the "Smart Customs Strong Country" action. Based on the advantages of this model, data from various aspects such as customs and ports have been integrated, achieving mutual recognition and exchange of supervision places and cargo information between the two customs.
