The Chinese section of the "Puzhai Xinqing" freight dedicated channel smart port between China and Vietnam has been put into operation

On December 19th, the Chinese section of the China Vietnam "Puzhai Xinqing" freight dedicated channel smart port was officially put into operation. As the first integrated smart port clearance platform in China with unmanned container transport trucks (referred to as "unmanned container trucks") as the core and AI intelligent scheduling as the support, the launch of this project marks a historic breakthrough in cross-border logistics between China and Vietnam.

At the opening ceremony, representatives from both China and Vietnam witnessed the customs clearance debut - six unmanned trucks loaded with electronic products drove automatically from the unmanned dedicated channel to the Baoyuan cargo yard in Vietnam, with smooth and efficient connection throughout the process. Previously, it used to take one or two days to queue at the port before vehicles could travel from Pingxiang to Vietnam. After the smart port was put into operation, the transportation time was reduced by at least 75%, and the cross-border logistics efficiency of enterprises achieved a qualitative leap! "Su Wenjian, the person in charge of Guangxi Fuxinkang Supply Chain Co., Ltd., happily said that the smart port has significantly improved the logistics docking efficiency between China and Vietnam.

This smart port builds a "unmanned, intelligent, and visualized" full process operation system, where unmanned truck fleets can independently complete the entire cross-border transportation process. It deeply integrates with the customs cooperation system, creating a "supervision logistics service" three in one empowerment system. Li Kang, the head of the Comprehensive Management Department of Friendship Customs, introduced that especially when inspecting ASEAN fruits, the system can automatically assist in determining whether there are pests and diseases, further compressing the inspection time of fresh fruits. At present, the supervision area of the Chinese section has achieved round the clock dispatch of cargo clearance, and the daily clearance capacity of the port is expected to increase to around 2880 train trips.

Xie Zhilin, Deputy General Manager of Pingxiang Guomao Technology Co., Ltd., stated that the project is based on the application of technologies such as 5G communication, Beidou navigation, and vehicle road cloud integration, creating a "smart car, smart road, and powerful cloud" operation system, achieving 24-hour intelligent customs clearance, and solving the pain points of traditional cross-border logistics in terms of time, efficiency, and cost.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam. The project will commence construction in September 2023 and is an important achievement of deepening practical cooperation between China and Vietnam.
