According to Xiamen Customs statistics, from January to October, private enterprises in Fujian Province imported 288.466 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.12%. Since March, it has maintained year-on-year growth for eight consecutive months, demonstrating strong development resilience and vitality.
According to officials from Xiamen Customs, private enterprises in Fujian Province have accurately matched the dual needs of industrial development and people's livelihood consumption for imports, presenting a distinct feature of "stable industrial demand and sufficient supply for people's livelihood". In terms of industry, the import performance of mechanical and electrical products is impressive. The import value from January to October reached 31.436 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16.60%. Among them, the import of automatic data processing equipment and its components was 2.845 billion yuan, and the import of central processing components was 1.128 billion yuan, a significant increase of 4.31 times and 2.88 times respectively year-on-year. In addition, the import of raw materials for light industrial manufacturing has grown rapidly, with pulp imports reaching 13.987 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 69.14%; Cotton imports reached 401 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 38 times.
In terms of people's livelihood, imported goods precisely meet domestic consumer demand, and the supply of "vegetable baskets" and "milk cans" remains stable. From January to October, dairy imports reached 9.323 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 24.67 times; Sugar imports amounted to 415 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.21 times; Edible oil imports amounted to 2.471 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20.90%; The import of cassava and cassava starch reached 2.712 billion yuan, an increase of 68.54%. The import of various consumer goods effectively enriched the domestic market supply.
