The 7th meeting of the China Morocco Joint Economic and Trade Commission was held in Beijing

On December 16th, the seventh meeting of the China Morocco Joint Committee on Economy, Trade and Technology was held in Beijing. Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao met with the head of the Moroccan delegation, Minister of Industry and Trade Mezur, accompanied by Assistant Minister of Commerce Zhang Li.

  The Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC mapped out a grand blueprint for China's development in the next five years. The recent Central Economic Work Conference made important arrangements in deepening foreign cooperation. The economic and trade cooperation between China and Morocco is facing new development opportunities and broad prospects. Today, both sides held the seventh meeting of the China Moldova Joint Economic and Trade Commission, which is a practical action for both sides to jointly implement the important economic and trade consensus reached by the two heads of state. China is willing to work hand in hand with Morocco to strengthen the strategic docking between the two countries, deepen cooperation in trade, investment, green economy and other fields, and promote the economic and trade relations between China and Morocco to a new level.

Mezur expressed that China and Morocco have friendly relations, and the Moroccan side attaches great importance to strengthening cooperation with China. They are willing to work together with China to actively implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state, continue to strengthen bilateral economic, trade, and technological cooperation, establish a mutually beneficial partnership, and promote the development of bilateral economic and trade relations.

Both sides positively evaluated the cooperation achievements made since the last session of the Joint Economic and Trade Commission, and exchanged in-depth views on topics such as promoting sustained and healthy development of bilateral trade, expanding investment cooperation, strengthening cooperation in the production and supply chain, and emerging fields, reaching broad consensus. After the meeting, both parties jointly signed the meeting minutes.
