The US International Trade Commission has made a final ruling on industrial injury in the fourth anti-dumping sunset review of silicon metal
On December 16, 2025, the International Trade Commission (ITC) of the United States voted to make its fourth anti-dumping sunset review of Silicon Metal imported from Russia, which determined that if the current anti-dumping measures were lifted, the substantial damage caused by the importation of the products in question to the domestic industry of the United States could continue or recur within a reasonable foreseeable period. According to the final ruling, the current anti-dumping measures in this case remain effective.
On March 7, 2002, the US Department of Commerce launched an anti-dumping investigation into imported silicon metal from Russia. On March 26, 2003, the United States officially began imposing anti-dumping duties on Russian products involved in the case. Subsequently, the United States conducted three sunset reviews and made a positive final ruling on the case, extending the validity period of anti-dumping duties three times on July 16, 2008, July 2, 2014, and June 24, 2020. On May 1, 2025, the US Department of Commerce launched the fourth anti-dumping sunset review investigation into imported silicon metal from Russia. On August 29, 2025, the US Department of Commerce made a final ruling on the fourth anti-dumping fast sunset review of imported silicon metal from Russia.
