To prepare for the cold wave and ensure heating supply, 70,000 tons of imported coal are quickly cleared through customs

Recently, under the supervision of Bayuquan Customs, which is part of Dalian Customs, 70,700 tons of imported coal declared by Huaneng Power International Inc. was quickly cleared and released. This batch of coal will be used to ensure power generation and heating, helping the local area to respond to the winter cold wave in a timely manner.

"Our company has undertaken the task of providing heating for 27 million square meters of residential areas this year. In order to ensure a warm winter for the people, we need to import coal from abroad in advance. The customs has opened a 'green channel' for us, so that we can handle the formalities as soon as the goods arrive at the port, and the customs clearance is particularly fast," said Cao Yongqi, deputy director of Yingkou Power Plant of Huaneng Power International Inc.

In order to ensure the stability of the imported energy supply chain during winter, Bayuquan Customs has formulated a "one-ship-one-policy" supervision plan and implemented "one-stop" inspection for imported goods. Relying on technological means, it has continuously optimized the inspection process for imported coal, shortened the laboratory testing cycle, and achieved "on-arrival inspection, quick inspection, and quick release" for imported coal, providing strong support for energy supply during winter.

According to statistics, as of November this year, Bayuquan Customs has supervised the import of 6.496 million tons of coal, representing a year-on-year increase of 3.2%. (Written by Cui Jiawei, Zhao Yongtuo, Dai Shuang)
