Jiefang Daily: "the Belt and Road" Customs Food Security Cooperation Conference Held

The 2025 "the Belt and Road" Customs Food Safety Cooperation Conference was held in Shanghai yesterday. With the theme of "deepening international cooperation mechanisms and promoting trade security and facilitation", the meeting summarized the new achievements of "the Belt and Road" customs food safety cooperation in recent years, and jointly planned new measures for "the Belt and Road" customs food safety cooperation and governance.
The conference passed the Shanghai Declaration on Promoting Trade, Facilitating Trade, and Sharing Food Safety, and launched the "Silk Road Food Safety" information platform. Representatives of 11 countries signed the Articles of Association of the "the Belt and Road" Customs Food Safety Cooperation Mechanism on the spot, and the number of member countries of the mechanism has reached 18.
Sun Meijun, Director General of the General Administration of Customs, attended the meeting and delivered a keynote speech. Wu Wei, member of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor, delivered a welcome speech. Zhao Zenglian, Deputy Director General of the General Administration of Customs, presided over the meeting.
