Recently, Yangjiang Port has expanded its opening and passed national acceptance. A total of 6 ports and 11 berths have been approved for opening to the outside world. The newly added port has an open area of 133 square kilometers and a coastline of 2046 meters. It is expected to have an annual cargo throughput capacity of 13.8 million tons and a container throughput capacity of 325000 TEUs.

The ports that have passed the acceptance this time include Fulitong Port, Mingxuan Port, Yuanqiang Port, Guangtailong Port, Yangjiang LNG Port, and Guangdong Huaxia Yangxi Power Plant Port. The open dedicated berths can connect various types of containers, bulk cargo, power plant specific coal, and liquefied natural gas (LNG), filling the functional gaps in bulk cargo transportation at Yangjiang Port and providing key logistics support for the green energy and new energy storage, advanced materials, equipment manufacturing, hardware cutting and other characteristic industrial clusters in Yangjiang Port.

According to statistics from Yangjiang Customs, in the first 11 months of this year, the customs has temporarily opened to the public at Guangtailong Port, Yangjiang LNG Port, and Guangdong Huaxia Yangxi Power Plant Port, supervising 224 inbound and outbound ships with 7.07 million tons of cargo, and escorting the first 64700 ton liquefied natural gas import ship in Yangjiang to successfully complete unloading at Yangjiang LNG Port, fully serving the port services and releasing foreign trade capabilities.

As an important gateway to the sea in the central and inland areas of western Guangdong, Yangjiang Port is located at the intersection of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area and the Beibu Gulf urban agglomeration, and is the central point of the Guangzhan water and land transportation line. The expansion and opening up of Yangjiang Port means that the transportation capacity of Yangjiang Port will be further improved, providing important support for Yangjiang to accelerate the construction of an important pivot on the west coast, deeply integrate into the construction of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, and better serve national strategies.

We will take the opportunity of expanding opening up to continuously promote the construction of smart customs, fully utilize smart customs technology, optimize regulatory processes, improve service efficiency, and provide more efficient and convenient customs clearance guarantees for ports. At the same time, we will continue to strengthen cooperation and cooperation with relevant units to jointly build a strong defense line for port security, help Yangjiang fully leverage its port resource advantages, and contribute customs strength to creating a new highland for opening up to the outside world, "said Pan Xiuqiao, Deputy Director of Yangjiang Customs under Jiangmen Customs.
