From January to October, the export of lithium batteries in Fujian Province exceeded 100 billion yuan
With the accelerated upgrading of the global new energy industry and the continuous release of demand for green and low-carbon products, the export of lithium batteries in Fujian Province has shown a strong growth trend. According to Xiamen Customs statistics, from January to October, the export of lithium batteries in Fujian Province reached 108.38 billion yuan, breaking the 100 billion mark and setting a new historical high for the same period, accounting for 11.3% of the total export value of Fujian Province during the same period. As an advantageous characteristic industry in Fujian Province, the lithium battery industry has grown significantly by 13.7%, effectively driving the overall export growth of the province against the trend by 1.3 percentage points.
According to officials from Xiamen Customs, private enterprises are the absolute mainstay of lithium battery exports in Fujian Province. From January to October, private enterprises in Fujian Province accounted for over 90% of lithium battery exports, with an export value of 103.34 billion yuan, ranking first among all provinces in China.
Data shows that from January to October, Europe and America remained the main markets for lithium battery exports in Fujian Province, accounting for 84.7% of the province's total lithium battery exports during the same period. At the same time, the development of emerging markets has achieved remarkable results, with rapid growth in exports to India, South Korea and other countries, with growth rates of 4.8 times and 2.8 times respectively, injecting new vitality into export growth.
In order to assist the high-quality "going global" of Fujian's lithium battery industry, Xiamen Customs continues to innovate inspection models, promote the "pre audit" mode for the assembly of exported lithium battery goods and packaging of dangerous goods, pilot remote online auxiliary inspection, and combine convenient measures such as "advance declaration" and "appointment inspection" to significantly reduce the clearance time of the entire lithium battery export process, injecting new momentum into the expansion of international markets for enterprises.
