The quarantine operation was completed within 20 minutes.

Putian Customs, under the jurisdiction of Fuzhou Customs, is one of the first grassroots customs in China to adopt the smart telecommunications quarantine mode. This mode introduces intelligent remote monitoring devices such as portable remote temperature and flow regulators, head mounted intelligent monitoring devices, and mobile operation terminals. Through 5G communication AI assisted map recognition at the port, customs officers can remotely complete crew temperature monitoring, epidemiological investigations, ship hygiene supervision, and subsequent quarantine supervision work in the office, without the need for on-site quarantine, greatly saving time and cost for enterprises and effectively improving port clearance efficiency.

After the implementation of smart telecommunications quarantine by the customs, inbound ships have achieved 'immediate inspection upon arrival', and unloading can begin as soon as possible.
