Dominican Republic launches anti-dumping investigation on Costa Rican rebar

On November 27, 2025, the Dominican Commission for the Regulation of Unfair Trade and Safeguards issued Announcement No. CDC-RD-AD-008-2025, stating that at the request of Dominican producer METALDOM S.A., threaded steel originating in Costa Rica (Spanish: barras o varillas de acero corrugadas o deformadas para refuerzo de concreto u hormigon） Initiate anti-dumping investigation. The dumping investigation period of this case is from June 1, 2024 to May 31, 2025, and the injury investigation period is from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2024 and from January 1, 2025 to May 31, 2025. The Dominican tax numbers for the products involved are 7214.10.00 and 7214.20.00. The announcement shall come into effect from the date of publication.
