In the first ten months, the trade volume of agricultural and food products between China and ASEAN exceeded 50 billion US dollars

The faster and better delivery of high-quality agricultural and food products from ASEAN to the dining tables of Chinese people cannot be achieved without the important institutional guarantees provided by the China ASEAN Animal and Plant Quarantine and Food Safety (SPS) cooperation mechanism. This mechanism has created a convenient and safe trade environment for expanding the import of ASEAN agricultural and food products by carrying out multiple actions in the fields of food safety, animal and plant inspection and quarantine, and capacity building.

ASEAN cuisine comes in, 'Chinese flavor' goes out. In the production workshop of Chongqing Dejia Meat Technology Development Co., Ltd., boxes of canned pork are transported on a conveyor belt. After passing X-ray inspection, they are automatically packaged and stored for sale in Singapore.

To assist enterprises in smoothly exploring new markets, Chongqing Customs and Singapore Customs have conducted multiple rounds of consultations. In March of this year, Chongqing's animal derived product regulatory system passed Singapore's regional access certification for the first time, and Dejia was officially approved to export five types of animal derived canned products, including pork, poultry, beef, lamb, and eggs, to Singapore.
