Weihai fish sauce first sold in the EU market
Recently, as I walked into the production workshop of Puyuan Food Co., Ltd. in Weihai City, a salty and fresh atmosphere filled my face. The fermented fish juice, after being extracted, prepared, sterilized and filtered, will finally become the ingenious "brewing" of seafood essence, and will soon go to the dining table of EU consumers. This is also the first time that fish sauce products from Weihai have opened the door to the EU market.
The fish sauce exported to the European Union this time is rich in various free amino acids, which are not only natural "flavorings", but also supplement essential nutrients for the human body, which is very in line with the demand of EU consumers for "healthy diet". When it comes to the first export, Wang Xia, the business manager of the company, was deeply impressed: "As a typical aquatic processing product, the EU implements strict market access system for fish sauce, covering multiple thresholds such as enterprise registration, raw material control, and residue testing, making it difficult to open the market
In order to support the smooth export of fish sauce to the European Union, Weihai Customs under Qingdao Customs has dispatched business experts to intervene in advance and assist enterprises in completing the EU registration recommendation process, ensuring that their production is included in the EU recognized list. At the same time, in accordance with the special requirements of EU regulations, Weihai Customs has established a full chain supervision model of "source processing export", strengthening the testing of food additives such as nitrite and sorbic acid from the source, strictly monitoring the entire production and processing process, guiding enterprises to improve their quality and safety management system, and ensuring that products meet EU safety standards.
Considering that this is the first time that fish sauce from Weihai has been exported to the European Union, we have collected relevant policies and regulations to guide enterprises in learning and training, and customized exclusive customs clearance plans for fish sauce exports. Fu Lidong, the head of the Inspection and Quarantine Department of Weihai Customs, introduced that the customs has set up a "green channel" for local inspection of aquatic products for priority inspection, and combined with convenient measures such as "cloud issuance" and "one certificate, one discussion" to quickly apply for EU aquatic certificates for enterprises, further reducing customs clearance time and costs.
Fu Lidong stated that Weihai Customs will continue to deepen the reform of local inspection business, tailor customs clearance service solutions for enterprises, and enable more local specialty products to open up international markets and go global. (Zhan Rui, Wang Yanli/Wen)
