Guangdong Province WTO/TBT Center Successfully Holds Training on Food Safety Risk Management and Trade Compliance Capability Enhancement

On November 28, 2025, the Guangdong WTO/TBT Notification Consulting and Research Center (referred to as the "Provincial WTO/TBT Center"), together with the Nansha District Market Supervision Administration, Guangzhou Customs Technical Center, Guangdong Public Health Research Institute and other units, successfully held the "Food Safety Risk Management and Trade Compliance Capability Enhancement Training" in Nansha District, Guangzhou. The purpose of this training is to further enhance the trade compliance awareness of food enterprises in the Greater Bay Area and strengthen their internal risk management capabilities. Through the collaboration of market supervision departments, customs departments, and disease control departments, we will actively serve the construction of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area and assist major cooperation platforms such as Nansha in aligning with international high standard economic and trade rules.

During the training, experts from the Provincial WTO/TBT Center, Guangzhou Customs Technical Center, and Guangdong Public Health Research Institute shared and interpreted three themes: "International Market Food Safety Risk Management Measures and Compliance Requirements," "Trend Decoding and Response Strategies for RCEP National Food Labeling Rules," and "Food Raw Material Management Requirements and Compliance Expansion Paths. Subsequently, experts and participating companies had discussions and answered questions regarding the food label management and new food ingredient registration issues currently faced by the companies.

This training event attracted about 60 quality managers, market sales managers, and industry regulators from key food enterprises within the province, as well as food production, processing, sales, and catering service enterprises in Nansha District, Guangzhou.
