Ningxia exports methyl tert butyl ether for the first time

On December 1, 2025, 300 tons of methyl tert butyl ether produced by a company in Ningxia were inspected and found to be qualified by Xingqing Customs under Yinchuan Customs, and then sent to Kyrgyzstan through Turgat Port.

Methyl tert butyl ether is a highly flammable liquid and a high-performance gasoline additive. It has excellent anti knock properties and can significantly increase the octane rating of gasoline. It is widely used in the field of fuel processing.

This is the first time our company has conducted export business. Due to a lack of understanding of the hazardous goods export process, we did not reserve enough time for sampling and inspection during the declaration process, "said the business manager of the enterprise. After learning about the situation, Xingqing Customs immediately organized personnel to conduct inspections at the factory and arranged for a dedicated person to track the entire process of sampling and inspection. The goods were released before the company's scheduled shipment date, which won valuable time for the first export of the product.

Since the beginning of this year, Xingqing Customs has actively explored the export potential of advantageous and characteristic products in its jurisdiction in order to further stabilize growth and promote development. It has increased research and guidance for key enterprises, provided business guidance for new enterprises and products that are exported for the first time, and ensured that enterprises can declare and export smoothly in a standardized manner. We have implemented a pilot reform of 'batch inspection' for exporting hazardous chemicals, further optimizing our business processes and reducing the time cost for enterprise exports by more than 90%, "said Liu Ruibo, head of the Inspection Department of Xingqing Customs. As of now, Xingqing Customs has inspected and exported 1128 batches of various chemical products, with a total value of 877 million yuan, and added more than 20 new products for export.

Xingqing Customs will continue to optimize its regulatory services, focus on the development needs of the fine chemical industry in its jurisdiction, provide more precise policy support and more efficient customs clearance services, and help more high-quality chemical products enter the international market.
