One enterprise, one strategy, one plan. Zhejiang produced koi "travels" abroad

Recently, in the intelligent breeding greenhouse of Guo Bin's carp farm in Haishu, Ningbo, staff carefully packed carefully selected koi into dedicated transport boxes and sent them to Malaysia, marking the first time Zhejiang produced koi have been exported.
The 200 koi fish we exported this time, covering high-quality strains such as black and white three color, are all independently selected core varieties, "said Guo Chaoling, the person in charge of Guo Bin's carp farm. In recent years, the carp farm has won numerous awards in China with high-quality strains and refined breeding, but encountered difficulties in expanding overseas markets - as aquatic ornamental animals, koi fish export involves multiple links such as farm registration, disease monitoring, and destination access standards. The enterprise is not familiar with foreign animal quarantine regulations, export processes, etc., and is also concerned about stress reactions of koi fish during long-distance transportation.
After learning about the needs of the enterprise, Haishu Customs, a subsidiary of Ningbo Customs, quickly launched the "Pro Clean Direct Train • Enterprise Needs Customs Response" mechanism and formed a special assistance team to provide on-site support. In response to the core pain points of koi export, customs staff have implemented a customized "one enterprise, one policy" plan to guide enterprises in completing the registration of outbound aquatic animal farms, interpret the quarantine requirements for aquatic ornamental animals in target markets such as Malaysia, and carry out on-site monitoring of water quality and koi disease prevention and control measures to ensure that koi meet export quarantine standards.
Considering the strict requirements for transportation conditions and time limits for exporting live koi, the joint enterprise of Haishu Customs under Ningbo Customs has formulated the first export plan, opened a "green channel" for customs clearance, and carried out on-site inspection operations including clinical examination of aquatic animals, inspection of loading containers and transportation water, and supervision of shipment. After checking the body shape, vitality, and surface characteristics of the koi, confirming that there are no signs of disease and determining that it is qualified for quarantine, the koi will be released quickly with a certificate to minimize the transportation time and ensure the survival rate of the koi for the first export.
Guo Chaoling said, "From venue registration to smooth customs clearance, the customs provided hands-on guidance throughout the process, helping us solve problems and enabling our koi to smoothly go abroad. (Reporter Li Hua, Correspondent Li Zhaobo, Liu Tianqiang)
